Mission
AMAN seeks to build peace by advocating for change that reflects the importance of humanity and the reformation of the Islamic Education System with the aim of developing the capacity to adapt and interact with global society. AMAN focuses on education as it sees the future of peace-building in the hands of today’s youth.
Areas of Work
The network works in various areas that have a strong connection with localised needs and issues. This includes capacity building and peace-building with a focus on women.
Atrocity Prevention Programs/Activities
AMAN has established a school for women that uses a selective curriculum of Gender Studies and Peace-building with an additional safe house for female survivors of domestic violence. AMAN administers and works with 25 schools for women in Indonesia.
