Mission
The mission of Nisa Ul Haqq Bangsamoro (Women for Justice in the Bangsamoro) is to empower Bangsamoro women and men towards engagement at international, national, regional and local levels, for the promotion of women’s human rights, sustainable development; and peaceful co-existence of tribes, of religions, of nations, and of women and men.
Areas of work
Nisa Ul Haqq Fi Bangsamoro, Inc. is a group of Muslim women NGO leaders advocating for women’s rights in the context of Islam and culture. Nisa envisions an ummah of peace-loving Bangsamoro women and men who value each other as equal partners in development, transcend tribal differences and biases, and promote justice and human rights. It aims to empower Bangsamoro women and men towards engagement at international, national, regional and local levels, and promote women’s human rights, peace and development.
Atrocity prevention programs/activities
- Consultation and Recommendation of Bangsamoro women for the drafting of the Bangsamoro Organic Law.
- Documentation on human rights violations, marginalization through land dispossession, legitimate grievances and healing and reconciliation for the Transitional Justice and Reconciliation Commission.
- Series of Community Dialogues on the peace process mechanisms, updates on the peace talks.
- Referrals for SGBV, anti-trafficking of persons cases to government agencies, NGOs and private service providers.
