Women, Peace and Security through Women's Participation and Decision Making

This project was developed by Belun (Timor-Leste) and focused on sexual and gender based violence in regional Timor-Leste. It involved the employment of Belun's EWER (Early Warning/Early Response) system to map and identify SGBV, via Conflict Prevention Response Networks.

Discussions were held at the community level and included a safety house for women to discuss gendered crime without negative repercussions. Belun also developed a video to highlight this form of reconciliation and its impact on atrocity prevention in the region, with particular emphasis on SGBV.
